Bidrage med feedbackAm currently standing here waiting for my food. Was going to eat in only to be told that it's take away only. What a great way to get customers to come in.
It was a busy Carnival of flowers day 2 hours before the parade started. I guess the shop owners did not plan for the rush, it was crowded and the service was slow.We found a variety of Kerala cuisine but most of them needed to be pre-ordered because they need to be specially prepared. We had ordered garlic naan, panner masala, dhaal and rice. The food was average, tasted with coconut oil (it was OK for us). Good value for money. The tables were not clean. Not sure if we picked the wrong day.
Run of the mill Australian Indian food. Service was slow, and much of the menu was not available. Overall not very impressed.
If you want a true taste of India, full of flavor, color and that Indian feel, you have to try this place. Having been to India before with my husband, I have to say that this place is very loyal to the true flavor of India. Very nice service and a comfortable feel. Loved it. A little piece of true India in the heart of Toowoomba. It made me feel very homesick for my second home. Ooo
Decent value for money, you certainly get your fill for $10.00. The biryani was reasonably tasty but I've personally had better from other restaurants in town. Considering the name I was expecting a little more. They had whole chicken on the bone which was nice, but a little dry. The rice wasn't quite mixed properly. Raita was a bit too sour for my preferences. They also included some kind of pickled / sundried tomato and a boiled egg which I wasn't a big fan of, but to each their own. It lacked a lot of the fresh coriander flavour which I've become fond of as well. Overall the meal was okay, just doesn't suit my personal taste.
