Siam Spice - Toms River

You really feel as if you are in Edison or Woodbridge and can't believe that this restaurant is actually in Toms River. Although it doesn't look like much on the outside, it has a very charming interior. The food is bold and different. I just wish I could go more. The name is appropriate, and there is a lot of spice in the food. They are spices that you might not be familiar with if you haven't eaten Thai or other Asian foods up north. Definitely give it a try if you have gotten bored with other places around here.

Great restaurant we discovers in Toms River on a rainy night . Small in a strip mall but the food was excellent . It was a day we had to eat vegetarian so perfect with its choice of noodles and rice and citrus all made for vegetarians.

Excellent Thai lunch here today served by a very personable Michael who took the time to chat after serving our yummy lunch! Massaman Tofu Curry for me, Lemongrass Tofu for Fran. Particularly important to us was that they offered to accommodate us as vegans.

The waitress came over, opened our wine bottle, and handed us the extensive menu. We had read in other reviews that the dishes are generously spiced, so we were prepared. We started with the shredded chicken lettuce wraps, which had a nice kick to them – they made our noses run! We also ordered spring rolls with dipping sauce, which were lovely and not overly spicy. For our main course, we shared the sweet and sour chicken with mixed vegetables and white rice, which was very flavorful. Overall, the service was good, the restaurant was clean, and we really enjoyed the food. We'll definitely be back!

The Thai food here is quite decent for the area. The prices reflect the quality well, and the portion sizes are generous—there's plenty of shrimp and chicken in the curries. The coconut rice is excellent: not too sweet and perfectly cooked, with just the right texture. My only wish is that they offered customizable spice levels instead of assigning a specific level to each dish. Overall, we plan to return and I would definitely recommend this place.
