Bidrage med feedbackPossibly issues with the chef not sure but the biriyani we ordered was very moist and almost watery, no salt or spice. Garlic Naan did not have salt. Chicken pakoda was the other item and the chicken felt rubbery and stale. Each item was around $22. Honestly speaking very expensive and not good good for an Indian restaurant. Sorry, had to provide this bad review.
This is the best kept secret in Toledo. I have had Indian food all across North America, and the U.K. but the Star of India is by far the most delicious and authentic. The portion sizes are amazing. You will not be disappointed.
Worst food ever, gave pulav instead of biryani. Can’t even call that a pulav. Raita was sweet yogurt with veggies. Menu was too pricy.
Easily and by far the best Indian food you'll find around here. Can't go wrong with anything but the lamb saag with garlic naan is f'in amazing. Never had a bad meal or experience here, they are highly recommended.
What took me so long to eat here??? My husband and I were in tonight for the first time, and we're blown away and thoroughly charmed. The atmosphere is cheerfully casual, with the staff bantering with regulars and newcomers alike. We immediately felt at home. We had the raita and paratha, I had lamb pasanda, my husband had lamb sabzi. Both dishes were generously portioned, perfectly seasoned, and just the right level of heat. It was a lot of deliciousness and I'm looking forward to my leftovers for breakfast tomorrow. We both had the sense enough to save room for dessert. I had Gulab Jamun, husband had Rasmalai, and both were perfect. They were just the right amount of sweet after a fantastic meal. We will definitely be back!
