Kira Japanese Steakhouse - Toledo

I visited Kira Japanese Steakhouse on November 5, 2022, and it was an incredible experience! Not only was the food delicious, but our waiter, Aaron, was fantastic! He was personable and had a bubbly, infectious attitude that made our meal even more enjoyable. His recommendations for food and drinks were spot on and did not disappoint. If you find yourself in Toledo, be sure to set aside some time to dine at Kira Japanese Steakhouse and ask for Aaron as your server!

I celebrated my birthday with my cousin and was hoping for a nice dinner. I ordered the Hibachi Ribeye and Scallops, requesting my steak to be medium rare. When the steak arrived, it was overcooked, without a hint of pink or red. I mentioned this to the server, but he insisted on debating the issue with me. He then brought the manager over, who also claimed the steak was rare. I explained that it was overcooked and that I didn't want to eat it. The manager asked me what I wanted instead, and I reiterated my request for a rare steak, just as I had ordered. Frustrated, I told him to take the entire plate away, as I simply couldn't eat it. It's been ages since I've had a steak cooked right—almost since the time of Jesus!

The chef was fantastic and really entertaining! The salmon was tasty, but I wished there had been a larger portion. The scallops were a bit underwhelming. However, the rest of the food was incredible—especially the noodles, which were absolutely amazing!

One of my favorite sushi places to go. Kira Japanese steakhouse has so amazing food. Our waitress was cheerful, friendly and very accommodating. She went beyond and beyond with her service. Definitely recommend to come to Kira Japanese Steakhouse for Sushi.

The staff is very young and often absent when they should be providing guests service. The food is never consistent. When it's good it's very good and when it's not meh. Salad good, nigiri rice was meh
