Bidrage med feedbackWe’ll be in Tlaquepaque for a month or two but in the week or so we’ve been here, Dona Mago has already become a trusted favourite. The food and service here are both consistently excellent. The menu provides a list of standard additional ingredients such as mushrooms, peppers, chorizo, etc from which you can add one, two or more to your selected dish. Being vegetarians, this is the best news in town. But ignoring our own specific dietary inclination, the food is just fantastic - tasty, fresh and authentically Mexican, not a gringo-pleasing version (though these two gringos love it!). Mago’s serves all of its dishes all day, so you can get huevos rancheros or revueltos any time you like. One thing Dona Mago could add to its extensive menu, though, are cocktails. I’m sure they’d sell a lot of them, too. As it is, they serve only beer, soft drinks and the ever-present Michelados. All in all, Dona Mago’s should be on your casual dining list for Tlaquepaque.Note: This is the second Dona Mago in Guadalajara, the first being closer into centro. We haven't visited the original yet but plan to do so when next in town.
