1800 Restaurant - Timmins

The manager at the hotel is extremely unprofessional and disrespectful towards guests who have paid to attend an event.

A little pricey, but definitely worth the wait! Not too sure what happened with others in terms of the dress code, I thought the dress code was pretty clear. Good service! Thank you!

I travel regularly to Timmins and have been trying for what seems the past year to eat here. I called ahead and said I was walking, I arrived in my warm coat, mitts, and big boots ( I have a broken toe and that's all that will fit)Under my coat ( that I had not yet removed I was wearing a black dress, all that was visible was my leggings. )The lady that greeted me at the door said you are wearing leggings and we have a dress code. I explained I had a dress on and was wearing my boots because of a broken toe! She was rude, and unwelcoming, she did seat me but it was such an awful feeling ifBeing unwelcome I left.Ironically I am at another restaurant and my server smiled when I told her the story, she had a customer with a very similar story for the night beforeFood may or may not be good, but the customer service is awful.

The chef is also the owner & she is awesome. Her cooking skills are excellent. The location is great. The food selection is limited but the food is high quality and delicious. The decor is just ok. Our waitress was nice, but a bit rough around the edges when speaking to us. She wasn't sure about questions we had relating to the food and overall it didn't seem like she was well versed on how to speak to clients in a quality, high end establishment that 1800 is.

It's a great restaurant for quality ingredients and cooking. The owner is so nice! It is too bad that it is located in a rough hotel. Someone actually walked in off the street, and stole my coat. The quick thinking waitress saved the day when she noticed suspicious behaviour and was able to get my coat back. I love the food and the atmosphere but there needs to be better security features put in place by the actual hotel to prevent these shenanigans from happening.
