Bidrage med feedbackThan one year and half after my previous visit, we went here with the colleagues for a beer in October. I have to say they improved in all aspects: the food was good, the special beers were available, the waiting time was decent and...now the toilets are modern and clean. We took 1 meter CBR food which contains a plate 1 meter long with all the important choices from traditional Romanian food (mici, sarmale, grilled pork meat, fried potatoes), enough for 6 persons. It was delicious and so much that we were not able to finish it. We tried unfiltered beer and At tank beer, both available at half liter and one liter. The place offer the view of a traditional beer hale, with visible wooden parts, remembering the Germanic past of Timisoara and the founders of the first beer factory from the today Romania: The beer factory of Timisoara was founded in 1718, by the prince Eugeniu de Savoya, after the liberation of the town from Turkish occupants. The prince decided to build a beer factory for the soldiers leaving here and as an alternative to the bad waters from the swamps who characterized the place 300 years ago.
Very simply this place could be summarized as restaurant at the Timisoara brewery, good food and that 's it. Well you could but in the end is always more than meets the eye. I will leave the service the end of the review: the terrace...with very good seating capacity, some tables in the shade some in the sun , very nicely arranged (have to admit last time I 've been here was 15 years ago used to be a regular back then so yes it 's been a while . That was a nice surprise. beer since the brewery is the place hosting the restaurant well it is easy Timisoreana the brewery is here from 1718 so 300 years of tradition in making beer ! Very good I went for the unfiltered is basically a pils but the yeast is in there and you don 't have a clear beer but the thick brew really love this 1. food brewery style , grilled meats , Mici , pork knuckle, sausages ...the right stuff so the appetite for beer can be kept at high levels. We ordered Mici , very good and very well grilled , tasty , juicy , not dry , and totally inexpensive if everyday they do it like this? you can 't be wrong in your choice. service , here comes the bit that was making the not good score I say average because of the waitress approach. The place wasn 't packed but still we had to wait for getting our orders taken and getting the beers, also the empty mugs were just left on the table until somebody decided to collect those. Plates the same we 've collected them on the plate, to make it easy for them to pick up the lot. As I said the average it can be seen here and in lot of other places. Overall when you balance everything is a good place service should improve to be really great and for sure I 'll be back, when beer is good and food is good , service can 't ruin my day that 's a certainty! When in Timisoara , have a beer at the brewery !!
In 2017 I had good experience with this restaurant in the brewery so I decided to pay another visit when visiting Timisoara city again. The landlord of my accommodation warned me that their friends had to pay an unexpectedly significant bill and was not satisfied,...but i did not follow her advice to avoid the place. Once we arrived, i noticed, the scene was changed, some walls removed, and the place did not look as cosy as before, but alright, let’s try. First the waiters ignored us for long, though there were many of them chitchatting at the bar. Then they managed to bring us menus, only in Romanian, and with some pages missing. Then they ignored us again for a long time, I had to go an fetch the waiters. They were giving ugly looks in exchange. Then they did not have the beers we ordered, then it turned out, the 1st page was missing from most of the menus, which presented the good price tap beers, so you thought you could only choose from the list of bottled more expensive beers. On request they could also bring those beers, but we only learnt about them after we placed orders… The whole situation and the ignorance of the waiters waitresses was so annoying, that we decided to look for another restaurant , luckily we found a good Serbian restaurant (called Dinar) with great food and excellent service.
Probably one of the most popular place in city center. Sunday evening and it was full while the center was empty like the other places arriund. Food was good Variated Drinks Reasonably priced Probably will be back
