We had a fantastic experience at this restaurant! My friend and I stopped in for dinner during our cross-country trip and we are so happy we did. My wife enjoyed a delicious pasta dish, our sons had tasty burgers and chicken strips, and I treated myself to the bangers and mash. Every plate was completely empty by the end of the meal after a long day of hiking and exploring. The staff were excellent, taking care of all of our needs. I highly recommend this place!

The food is delicious and the service is excellent. The fish and chips are a generous portion and the onion rings are fresh and delicious. Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience.

We started with bruschetta and a shrimp cocktail. The bruschetta was bland and small, served on a large plate with lettuce and a balsamic reduction. The shrimp cocktail was smaller than usual, with small shrimp and a standard cocktail sauce. My wife ordered the Onions Wellington, which she usually enjoys, and I ordered the 'Jumbo' scallops. The scallops were not as large as described and were accompanied by bitter asparagus that affected the overall taste of the dish. Despite the disappointing meal, I did not want to spoil my wife's birthday and ate most of my dish. The only saving grace was the good coffee. The server was polite but seemed uninterested, even though we were the only customers in the dining room. I rarely write restaurant reviews, but I felt it necessary to inform the owners of our experience. While we dine out at other places regularly, we may only return to this restaurant if my wife or family insists.

Stopped on trip up to Maine and found it to be cozy, friendly, thrifty and better than average pup/bar food. Wife had fish and chips saying the best she has tasted since our vacation to Galway, Ireland. I went for the burger that was grilled to perfection. We started with steamed clams and garden salad. Draft beer/ale selection was substantial, crisp and cold. Waitress (Liberty) was efficient without hovering or disappearing like Houdini. Happy we stopped and dined locally rather than the many chain restaurants dotting the landscape. Worth a visit
