Bidrage med feedbackSo let me start with it, it's not my first time in casa plascencia, but it will be my last. as we in most of the waiting personal sat at the entrance, I think the maitre d ' or as they call it. the wait captain took are order that began with 2 bottles of wine, we said we wait for another couple when the bottles were opened, we were told that the kitchen closes at 9 o'clock. we should leave at this time, but we stayed. and from there it was downhill, we ordered a paella a twirl soup and a zeasarsalat, which should be made table side, no four pieces salat with four drops dressing were brought directly out of the kitchen, then the warm tweeble a garlic soup was brought on the table, it was torn, at this point I would be I traveled a lot to madrid and also make a killer paella, these were left overrests in a microwave again heated, I guess the cook does not work on Sunday 's and all 's cooked a day earlier and again in the microwave, and it does not stop there the waiter kept pouring are wein because he wanted to go. had to ask him to hurry, then he brought us dessert menu and I quote if they want dessert, they must be done quickly because the kitchen closed in 5 minutes we asked about dessert, are the review that was brought to us by another waiter because they went when we went, we saw up and there were about three tables waiting. as I said, this is not my first time in casa plascencia and I hope the family plascencia sees this review and does what is best for there business because I enjoy the many restaurants that they have in tijuana.
This local restaurant has a large menu with delicious options, a great service and a valet for its parking. good for small and large parties alike.
I came here a week ago to be honest that I didn't feel when I arrived, and I don't have a scrupulous look or something. after 20 minutes waiting for a table (of course, which had been available since the beginning of the...) I finally sat down, but at the end I moved into the upper part of the restaurant. with tried the black paella, which it was really good, also the chinchulines. not sure I'm coming back, but it was okay.
The place is really nice and confortable, service was excellent, very attentive waiters! The problem I had was that I ordered the prime rib and was expecting to be full after desert. Wrong! I had to order some extra entrees to fill up! Hoo! And...before I forget, don't dare to order the paella, bad choice as it tastes like raw smelly fish. The tacos were good but I must say that are the smallest I have ever seen, 2 inch tacos. Price was not bad for the type of restaurant, hope they stop being so cheap and make fulfilling Mexican Spanish food as it should be. Desert was really good and served in a normal portion!
Was recently referred to the Plascencia Group for excelent selections of restaurants in Tijuana. Well established group headed by Baja-Med Chef Javier Plascencia, this restaurant presents the overall best the family has to offer. While Mision 19 heads the group list of several restaurants in Tijuana, Valle de Guadalupe and San Diego, including Caesers on Revolucion, Casa Plascencia has been often noted by friends as the most consistent and varied in dishes available. Chichulines and ajo blanco with fresh bread to start, and bebidas well presented, we were off to a great start. Plates included arroz negro, a black wild rice dish loaded with pulpo and calimare, lingua in a wine sauce (Madeira) and fettuccine alfredo with camarone in an actual cheese sauce. All plated by the chef in proper serving sizes and each delicious in their own way as opposed to having a common thread in flavor found in so many chain restaurants. Service - also excellent. That said, as a left handed person I tend to place cutlery and drinks to my left. This was disrupted by the assistant masero a couple times who moved my place settings to the right side of my seat. Our primary server was very pleasant and very attentive, ensuring the meal was a joy for all with each serving. Dessserts were delicious and apparently not frozen excepting the ice creams. Creme de broulee, mousse and others including fresh warm churros were a fine finish to a mid-day birthday celebration. This is an upper mid-range restaurant in Tijuana, probably kid friendly although very young youngsters may be out of place. While a selection of mariscos are offered it is not seen as a seafood location.
