Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

This is our go-to restaurant in the area, so we visit every month. The restaurant is always clean and the customer service can vary, but it is never bad. During our most recent visit, we were greeted by a polite young man who seated us right away. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. It wasn't busy, so our food came out quickly. No complaints here.

I was somewhat disappointed by my experience at this restaurant when I dined with a party of 9 on a Thursday night. Despite the place not being very busy at the time, we still had to wait for 20 minutes before being seated (which I understand is normal for a large group). It took about 30 minutes for our food to arrive. The server apologized for the delay multiple times and checked in to see if we needed anything else. However, I was disappointed with the quality of the food. I ordered the chicken and noodles with spiced apples and mac and cheese on the side, but my dish only came with 3 small pieces of chicken that were quite small. The knödel were undercooked and chewy, and the sauce was thin and watery. Another person in my group who ordered the chicken dumplings also received a small portion. The rest of the party seemed to have no issues with their meals.

If I ever visit Jacksonville, I definitely want to go to this restaurant. The food is amazing, especially the grits, slaw, and hush puppies. I could keep talking about how delicious everything is. The staff is also fantastic. I highly recommend dining at this place - you won't regret it.

Keep them on the road trip for fast lunch. the place was not very busy ordering the fried cats as usual with koleslaw and broccoli. the waitress asked if we wanted to be a bite or a maisbrot, we said to be cornbrot, but she didn't bring it. the brokkoli was sad when the cats were overcrowded, probably again. the mascara my man ordered was just old and evil. that's the worst thing we ever had in a cracker. golden corral had better food.

Really good servers even though it was busy. Gave us basket of biscuits until food came. Kept tea glass filled. Manager came over to speak and make sure everything was ok. Food was very good.
