El Ranchito is completely owned and operated by Mexican Americans. While you can definitely place your order and pay in English, you’ll find that Spanish is the primary language among the staff. After dining at El Ranchito three times, we've discovered that their various moderately priced combination meals consistently deliver excellence. For first-timers, I highly recommend trying a burrito (beef, chicken, or pork), as it serves as a fulfilling meal. The pork burrito is particularly delicious, featuring tender pulled pork, rice, fresh avocado, sour cream, green chili sauce, and a touch of red sauce. This hefty burrito can easily satisfy one person or serve as a generous meal for two, all for just $5.00—truly a great deal! No matter what you choose, I believe you’ll be pleasantly surprised. They also offer Mexican beers like Tecate, Negro Modelo, and Carta Blanca for around $3.50 per bottle, but the friendly staff allows customers to bring their own drinks as well. Or, like us, you can just take your meal home! Whether you dine in or take out, El Ranchito quickly becomes a favorite once you give it a try. (July 28, 2009.)
