Eat Local Pizza - Thunder Bay

Absolute favourite pizza place in townEverything is so fresh and never disappoints.

We happened to win a gift certificate (thank you)! so we took a chance and followed up on the recommendations for Eat Local's perogie pizza. WOW! ! A new family favourite! We appreciate this local owner's attention to detail, innovation and his generosity with charitable organizations. Well done!BTW, Eat Local is now on Thunder Bay's north side, Red River Rd by Nucci's Deli.

I'm amazed that there are not more reviews...certainly it was hopping with many locals coming in and out on a Labour Day Sunday when I'd expect it to be dead. It is deservedly popular.Why is it good?Crust === very well baked. MId thickness (not a cracker andnot a gooey mess,) properly baked, appropriately chewy , great corn meal dusting on bottom.Toppings- old school in quality (ie not cheap as is increasingly seen in many places where the focus is on price at the expense of quality,) generous and properly prepared. About 20 regular and another 20 gourmet to choose from.

We enjoyed the pizza, the crust was perfect and the toppings delicious. We picked up and the wait time was approximate maybe ready a little early. We will definitely have their pizza again.

I've heard so many good reviews about this place but I was very unimpressed. The pizza wasn't bad, just nothin special. Won't be going back.
