A J's Trading Post - Thunder Bay

Ajs is a nice little business and restaurant closer to the border. it is a nice little load if you need something and don't want to run in thunder bay. they have a nice little restaurant and generally have lunch and dinner specialties regularly and. have good ice, they also have a small gift shop. a little business!

On a cold November morning, my friend and I went to the breakfast. She only ordered take-out (a big burger and pizza, she said) but thought they also served breakfast. We sat in the cozy and homey dining room, which was very comfortable especially with the heat on. The couple who served us were super friendly and proud of their cooking. I ordered the jerk skillet with eggs cooked in a cast iron skillet with sweet Canadian bacon and jerk seasoning. When I asked how much food there would be, she suggested I try the hash browns, which I'm glad I did as they were really good. My friend had an omelette with sundried tomatoes among other ingredients. Both of our breakfasts were excellent, the service was attentive, and the coffee was a mix that they sold, which was from a local coffee roastery called Wolfhead Coffee. The menu looked interesting and I'm sure that every dish from the chef in the kitchen would be excellent. I give this restaurant a big thumbs up.

We were hungry and it was well past dinner time, but the owners fired the grill for us. we enjoyed burgers with unusual toppings (after California standards) and fret and suppe. the personal was super friendly, and we enjoyed our stay in this. funky small tankstelle / gift shop / restaurant.

Friday night fish and chips and perogie pizza were great! spinat and specksuppe was also delicious. in any case back, hopefully without the table of the loud claws next to us this time!

I have dined at this restaurant twice and was impressed by the generous portions, reasonable prices, and pleasant atmosphere. From the outside, it resembles a small convenience store, but there is a cozy dining area tucked away to the side. It is a popular spot for contractors from the area, which speaks volumes about the quality. I will definitely be returning.
