Jersey Girls Cafe - Thulimbah

We recently enjoyed a delicious afternoon tea at this restaurant, which included a tasting plate and desserts. The tasting plate was small but worth the $5, especially since it came with a list and description of the cheeses. I was able to find one I really liked and take some home with me for a picnic tomorrow. The glass of local wine paired perfectly with the meal. Although the staff could have been a bit more cheerful, we understand that they may have had things going on behind the scenes.

This restaurant is a popular spot for tourists, often receiving busloads of visitors at a time. However, they are not equipped to handle the large volume of customers. This was our second visit, and I returned because the food is delicious. Unfortunately, our order took too long to arrive at our table and my latte was half empty and filled with foam. The cheesecake was tasty, but the serving size was disappointingly small, at only 3cm wide. Considering the price of almost $7, this was not acceptable. This place has potential to be better if the customer service was friendlier and more efficient.

We made a quick stop on our way to our accommodation. The cheese was delicious and the service was friendly. We purchased some tasty items for a cheese plate, such as salami, water crackers, smoked olives, and, of course, more cheese.

The most embarrassing tasting I've ever had. $3 per person and we have 11 pieces of cheese (hard visible) on a piece laminated card. I'm sorry I didn't make a picture, I wouldn't have been too flattering.

Staff were genuine, helpful and very knowledgeable. The local produce ws amazing. Would highly recommend to any staying or travelling through the region.
