I usually hang out around the bar area when I come here after work, the food and service are really good but the people themselves are what making coming here enjoyable

Throckmorton is so lucky to have Double D's. Dave and his family led crew are just fantastic and always looking for ways to improve their offerings. The steaks are delicious and the specials actually ARE special. It is so nice to have a place to go have a meal and a cocktail or watch the game with friends. Have only caught a couple of their live music acts when I've been in town, but forgot how much I'd missed it. To say we'll be back almost seems silly heck, we're there a lot already. Keep up the great work, Dave.

I spent the night in Throckmorton last week and this restaurant was recommended to me. It's not a fancy restaurant but it's comfortable and clean. I ordered a sirloin steak rather than a ribeye because I was just not that hungry. The steak came with a salad from the salad bar and a baked potato. The salad was very good, cold and crispy, and there was a nice variety of vegetables to add. As a sidenote, each item was covered with a plate which I found reassuring with the situation of Covid these days. My steak arrived and was perfectly seasoned and cooked to my request. This was the most tender and flavorful sirloin steak I have ever had. I generally order either ribeyes or fillets because of the tenderness. But I'm very glad I ordered this as it was a nice surprise. The baked potato was perfectly cooked as well and came with the usual accompaniments. One thing I did appreciate which probably most people don't care about, was their silverware. So many restaurants nowadays have flimsy lightweight silverware, this was a nice quality and weight.
