Pompey's Grill - Three Forks

Unquestionably a wonderful experience. We have been going here for several years. It is always a good to place when we have guests. The other night we had a good friend from ATL and had raved about this place. Coupled with it being housed in the historic Sakajewea Hotel we all were excited to go. Sadly the food was off this night. So very disappointed. We will go back for sure with hope it was simply a bad night.

The restaurant offers delicious food, a welcoming atmosphere, and an exceptional bartender named Alfredo. He makes dining at the bar or in the bar area an enjoyable experience. Alfredo's recommendations for food and wine pairings are highly appreciated.

We had a fantastic dinner with great service. We started with the delicious smoked trout rillettes appetizer. The meal included a large bread basket with various spreads, so you might want to skip an appetizer. For dinner, we had Cajun blackened beef tips and root beer glazed pork porterhouse, both of which were tasty. The portions were generous, leaving us with some leftovers. Despite being full, we shared a delicious coconut cream pie for dessert. The atmosphere in the dining room was pleasant, with soft lighting and minimal noise from other diners.

My husband and I have been coming here very routinely for the past 8 years and it has always been one of our favorite places to go for a nice meal. It saddens me to say that it is no longer the place it once was. The service was good, but the food was terrible. The food quality has plummeted and their prices have increased substantially, which would be okay if the food was up to par. They must be sourcing their meat, seafood and produce from somewhere else now and the chef must have changed. It's really sad that this place is no longer a place we will visit for date night.

The food here is definitely worth the wait. The atmosphere is great too. The downstairs bar is a popular spot for locals looking for simple food and drinks.
