Sinjeon Food Sys - Thornhill

I visited this cozy little restaurant with a friend, and it was a pleasant experience. The tteokbokki was tasty, although I found the regular spice level a bit too intense for my liking (that’s on me for thinking I could handle it). The fried fish cake was excellent as well. My absolute favorite was the tuna rice bowl. My friend tried the rose tteokbokki, and it was incredibly delicious! I would definitely return whenever I have cravings. There’s some parking available in front of the restaurant, but you can also find more spots by going down the side street.

I recently enjoyed some scrumptious Korean street food! I ordered takeout from the restaurant, and the staff were exceptionally friendly. Although I had to wait a bit longer than expected, they were very apologetic and surprised me with an extra serving of fried items on the house. The staff’s friendliness matched the deliciousness of the food! The cheese tteokbokki was fantastic, with a perfect cheese pull, and the mild spice level was just right. Overall, I would definitely return for another visit!

I'm not really a fan of tteokbokki, but I absolutely love the tteokbokki at Sinjeon! The toppings are fantastic, the other dishes are great, and the ambiance really takes me back to Korea. I especially enjoyed the rosé tteokbokki with vermicelli noodles, but we had to opt for a mild spice level because the regular one is quite spicy.

What a great find! We ordered K-Rose Combo and cheese sticks. The Rosé tteokboki was absolutely delicious! The spam rice bowl was surprisingly good, too! The personal touch of cute drawings on the lids was an added bonus and we love it! Looking forward to come back and try other items on the menu.

If you love Korean comfort food this is the place! The rosé tteokbokki is very flavourful. My personal favourites are the tuna kimbap and the spam bowl. Simple dishes, but they really hit the spot. I will definitely be back. :9
