Jollibee - Thornhill

Expensive for just OK fried chicken. Also waited so long (more than 20 minutes) while other people after me got their food. I did like the pineapple juice drink. Not sure what the hype is about. It's just OK. I've had better.

No pics to share, but Jollibee was actually pretty nice. I've had it a few times, but I didn't think it was anything crazy. After this time, my mind has changed (maybe because I ate it nearly at 10pm, but the chicken was juicy, and was falling off the bone. Unfortunately the skin was falling off, but not a huge deal. I love the mushroom gravy. Very drinkable. The fries are ok, nothing special. The spaghetti is good too. Most people are weirded out because it's made with a banana ketchup and red pepper based saue, rather than a traditional tomato sauce, but once you accept that it's not meant to be traditional or classical, it's really nice and the sweetness is appreciated. Jollibee is also pretty affordable when compared to some fast food places as well.

Wow! I have to admit, Popeyes Chicken now has some serious competition. This location is quite nice; it's small but has a few seats for dining in (pre-New Year's). The service is great, and they use buzzers for order pickup. Prices are on par with other chicken chains. The chicken itself is excellent—crispy and the spicy option really delivers on heat! The pieces are juicy, and the fries are tasty as well—nothing extraordinary, but definitely good. Parking is ample since it's located within the mall. If you’re craving delicious fast food fried chicken, I highly recommend checking out any Jollibee!

Jollibee is closer to competing with KFC than with Popeyes. The chicken batter is lighter and smoother, which results in a less crispy texture, so it ultimately comes down to personal preference. The noodles have their own unique style, but they aren’t impressive enough to make me want to come back frequently. The pineapple drink tastes more like syrup mixed with water. Overall, if you go to Jollibee, you can expect decent fast food at reasonable prices.

The service was quick and friendly. I really enjoy their chicken, though there are times when I find it to be not as fresh. The gravy sauce served with the chicken is always a fantastic addition.
