The Bistro At Lora Bay - Thornbury

This spot has so much unmet potential. It's in a beautiful setting by the water. The menu is very limited and nothing was great. It was OK. There were flies. Lots of flies. Constantly throughout the whole dinner. Can't they deal with that? Server disappeared when we had our main courses and we waited an awfully long time to get our plates cleared and offered dessert (only after we asked). One of the stalls in the women's bathroom smelled awful. So better maintenance and upkeep there would be helpful. A solid three star experience.

There was a Batchelor party with 12 guys who brought their own radio and played their music very strongly. They were also very much with vulgar language. At no time, employees tried to stop them considering the rest of the cartridges. I live in this community and I'm not sure if I return.

Wonderful experience! We came here to celebrate our first wedding day and were welcomed by very friendly staff and free champagne. The service was excellent and the food was amazing!! The view from the terrace overlooking the lake and watching the sunset was read. I definitely come back

Excellent place to eat with good food, although the menu has changed in recent months. Miss the packs! Make sure you have a credit card as no cash is accepted in Lora Bay

The food was very good, though on the expensive side. This is the third time I have eaten there and they still have no sparkling water next to the soda. Certainly it is not a big thing to bring in Montclair or Perrier or something equivalent. Soda just doesn't cut it! I also do not expect to get ketchup, vinegar etc. in plastic bags. Some other vegetarian/vegan options would also be a good idea.
