We arrived at 7 pm on a Monday immediately after the opening of the restaurant and the traditional French food plus service were both very good. This restaurant is really good: However, this is an expensive place where for 3 people we spent SFr. 238, which includes... two bottles of Italian wine, but no desserts. My friends ordered a risotto with truffles and the restaurant special dish Entrecôte on their hot plate. I ordered the Venison Tenderloin Fillet, which was boiled to my taste and had an excellent taste. The owner is very friendly and he explained everything we wanted to know about our food and we enjoyed talking to him.
Apart from the fact that the restaurant is very close to my accommodation, this restaurant is a really good one. Order her special dish Entrecôte on her hot plate, hear the butter sizzling with make you just want a piece of bread... in the dish. If you are a truffle lover try their truffle dishes and do not regret it
Great traditional French food, many dishes have truffles (their specialty). The owner is great and we always enjoy speaking with him. We always enjoy our dinners, great place.
As many other reviews say, the place desires an antique deco, but it is chaotic as beautiful to watch compared to other antique style restaurants in Geneva. About the first impression we talk about the table: paper tablecloth, not the first neither the last, but... Hardpaper napkins like a vulgar hotdog stand? You could improve something there. The service was disorganized. We ordered 2 aperitifs, served one and wine, we had to remind the waiter, and twice the answer was that they were on the way, they acted as if they did not forget and no excuses. About the truffles that are the landmark of the restaurant... They are held in two glass glasses on a table in the restaurant. The owner and waiters take them with gloves as they go back and forth, how people order truffle courses. Our main food in this restaurant was the risotto with white truffles, as we once tasted in NY and we must be honest, we were very disappointed. Even if the owner was very generous when he floated the truffle at the top, he tasted very little almost nothing of truffle. It was like a simple risotto. I would not recommend this restaurant for fine connoisseurs of truffles.
