San Maru - Thimphu

I would have given 10 stars if it were possible. Authentic Korean food in the middle of the town of Thimpu. The restaurant is run by a couple, man is a Bhutan and woman is Korean. The woman personally prepares all foods, they have a limited food prepared for lunch and dinner and then close the entry for new customers. The prices are on the higher side, but it is worth the money you pay to avoid buying breasts as it is very expensive.

Amazing Korean food in the heart of Bhutan. Had a big conversation with the Korean Bhutan couple that belongs to the restaurant. The food here tastes like the one I had in Korea. I ordered Bibimbap and spicy pig. They were both fantastic and I can't wait to come back here. I enjoyed the food!! Thanks San Maru!

Food is great and not too full!!! Love her bbq meat and kimchi soup! Hot and sharp on such cold weather...

Authentic Korean Restaurant founded and by a beautiful couple (woman Korean and husband Bhutanese) Their love shows in the setting of their restaurant and in the food they serve.

Excellent Korean cuisine prepared immaculately by the great staff here. Ambience is very pleasant and lively, but finding a car park nearby could be a challenge during the peak hours. Highly recommended.
