Big Mike's Bbq Smokehouse - Thibodaux

Big Mikes was one of my favorite go to local BBQ spots. I noticed after the Covid-19 pandemic hit, there was a change in the portion sizes; they were smaller. I didn’t mind this change in quantity, as the quality was still great. But now both the quantity and quality are suffering. I had the pulled pork sandwich with sweet potato fries. The brisket was amazing but the sweet potato fries were horrible. They were not the texture of fries at all. They must have been frozen and not cooked completely. We ordered for curb side pick up but no one ever came out after notifying them we were there waiting we went inside and had to wake down the lady at the pickup counter who was standing there sideways drinking a beverage oblivious to the world. One of the best meals I had in Thibodaux. Of the 3 meat platter, brisket was moist with good flavor, sausage was decent but nothing special, turkey was surprisingly good, although I got an edge cut with some stringy bits. Could have used a spicier sauce, but the sides were great, bread was like a pillow, and staff were all awesome. If you like BBQ, come here.

The food was fantastic. The burger was so juicy and definitely a 6 napkin burger

Just like no other barbecue! I thought that Texas, North Carolina and Virginia had the best but it’s dog food compared with what I have seen here!!
