The Glebe Takeaway - THE JUNCTION

I ordered the veggie burger and a small portion of fries. The prices were fair for the generous amount of food you receive. It's a traditional fish and chip shop with sizeable portions of fries. The staff were very friendly, even though they were extremely busy (it was a public holiday and one of the few places open).

This restaurant is fantastic for enjoying fish and chips in the afternoon. You can grab a meal and then head around the corner to the beach to enjoy stunning views that will satisfy anyone.

I had a craving for fish and chips, so I decided to go to Glebe Takeaway. When asked if I wanted regular or chicken salt, I couldn't help but think of that silly Optus TV ad and managed to avoid saying both out loud. For my seafood pack, I chose chicken salt, which came with small chips, 2 cocktail fish, 2 prawn cutlets, 1 seafood stick, 2 calamari rings, and 2 tartare sauces. The chips were perfectly crunchy with just the right amount of salt, the fish was tender and well-battered, the prawn cutlets were crunchy and delicious, and the calamari was equally tasty. A squeeze of lemon and tartare sauce made everything even better. The service was friendly and efficient, and the wait was short. **** superb fish and chips. Can be a little slow, depending on the number of staff they have working, but generally worth the wait.

The chips were great, beautiful and crisp! the scallops and fish were soggy and not nice. the staff was unfriendly, would not kill them to smile and be plentiful to the customer!
