Bidrage med feedbackBorn and raised in Spring Branch, I know there are many amazing local taco/food spots in this area and this one is top notch. Came here for a quick stop, had a couple or drinks and food and will be back often. Tacos were fresh, delicious and not over priced. Husband had the Burnt End Burger and absolutely loved it. Highly recommend this hidden gem! Bonus, they have a large outdoor space and a playground, a plus if you have little ones.
The Reuben-Sandwich only would have deserved more than 5 stars. This is a great and dog-friendly place with very friendly staff. I definitely will come back soon.
Had high hopes for this place when it opened in my neighborhood. Opened strong but has has steadily declined. Food offering is down to a minimum and other than the wings, the better items have fallen off the menu. Service is not what it used to be and seems to have turned into a playground for employees and their friends. They get served first. Party going on at the end of the bar with employees and their friends. Amazed at how long an empty glass can sit on thebar. Business must be really good. With Kirby Ice House down the road, not sure how much time I?ll be giving Lazy Oaks in the future.
Chips and salsa were good, I loved their fries. Food overall was good, different taste for what im used to as far as barbacoa but it's a nice spot to go grab a bite and drink some beer. We went early in the day, not too busy. I wish they had more ciders.
When the weather is nice, a beer garden is one of the best places to be. With a cool drink, nothing feels better than the great outdoors, surrounded by the natural elements and, hopefully, good conversation as well. My love of beer gardens led me to check out Lazy Oaks Beer Garden, located in west Houston close to the Memorial City Mall. Lazy Oaks Beer Garden has a neighborhood feel and is a chill type of place, with a long interior that features a bar along the back wall, high tables and low tables, and barstools along the edge of the bar itself. The stools at the tables don?t have backs and are a little less comfortable than I prefer, but the place to be is the outside beer garden. It?s larger than theinterior space and features picnic table seating, television sets, and a partial covering just in case it starts to sprinkle or if you want some protection from the hot sun. For beverages, Lazy Oaks Beer Garden is first and foremost, aplace for beer. I counted about 23 taps the last time I visited, most of them Texas- brewed suds, but there are out- of- state options as well. If beer isn?t too your liking, never fear- they have a full- service bar and can mix up anydrink you like. The food served at Lazy Oaks Beer Garden is typical American pub fare, such as sandwiches, tacos, wings, etc. I find the food good overall, especially when consumed with beer. The fried chicken sandwich was a little morebready than I prefer, but the burgers are hearty and, again, a great match with a glass of local brew. For parking, the immediate parking lot fills up quickly but keep in mind that there is extra parking space available across the street. The prices at Lazy Oaks Beer Garden are slightly less than at other, similar establishments, which is a plus. It?s not the prettiest place on the inside, but as a beer garden, Lazy Oaks Beer Garden works and it?s a place I will return towhen I?m in the area.
