Had the hot fried fish sandwich, super fresh and tasty with a good amount of veggies in it. The fries that came with it were some of the best I've ever had. Guy at the register was friendly and helpful, good customer service as well. Definitely recommend!

I had the fish chips. It's essentially the fish of the day with fries and a little salad. Can't remember what kind of fish it was. The fish was delicious. The fries were crazy amazing!!!!! Perfectly crispy and crunchy. The person that took my order could've been a bit friendlier. Post is always a vibe.

We were making our way through the restaurants on the Chronicle's Top 100 list that we hadn't tried, and that's how we ended up having dinner at Golfstrommen.We didn't realize it was open seating in a food hall and thought reservations were necessary (and hard to come by. That's actually the reason it took us so long to try it. TIP: you can order your food and sit anywhere in the food hall... there was a ton of open seating available.I tried the fish and chips: the fish was very crispy! However it was very under seasoned. There was no salt readily available on the table, so I had to wait in the line to request salt. The fries were crisp as well and benefited from the salt I retrieved for the fish. We tried the 2 crudos, as well. Both were average at best. My friend had the lobster roll, which was on par with some of the better lobster roll we've tried.In all honesty, we're not sure how this place ranked so highly on the list. The food was ok... under seasoned and certainly not great. Ambiance can't offset or contribute: it's in a food hall. Thinking about the other top restaurants on that list that we've tried (most are definitely worth oof the recognition, were scratching our heads about this one.

We were turned away for being a 6 top. Staff was not rude, but not great. I guess they Just don't need the business. Restaurant only had one other diner.

This food blew my mind those steamed mussels were AMAZING and not only exceeded but completely obliterated my expectations. So was the lobster roll. Wine selection was nice. Definitely recommend.
