I recently took my Mom there for her birthday. Honestly, the food reminded me of what I had at my aunt's house growing up. The Pollo guisado was seriously authentic. Well-seasoned like the real McCoy I enjoyed as a kid. The bistec encebollado was the best that I ever had. Tender and flavorful with delicious onions. The habichuelas guisadas were spot-on. For dessert we had flan. We got an unexpected surprise right before the check. The servers all serenaded my mom and sang her happy birthday Dominican style!A wonderful experience overall and I would highly recommend this place if you're looking for authentic homestyle cuisine.
