The Royal - Thanet

The staff are absolutely amazing!! We watched the England euros game and didn’t have a table and they accommodated us amazingly. They are all so friendly! I am pregnant and diabetic and needed to eat but they don’t do food other than from across the road (which I couldn’t eat) so they said I could grab something and bring it in. This was just AMAZING as they could have told me tough sh*t but they were just the best people and I can’t thank them enough otherwise I would have had to sit out side in the cold to eat something. Thank you!!

Not a fan of this pub.Tried twice and both times same disappointed outcome.A large noisy sports bar, which hosts regular load and obnoxious wasters.Spirits are an absolute rip off too. Wouldn't be a place I'd want to take kids, and definitely wouldn't entertain taking anyone there to impress. Much nicer places close by.

Visited with 8 other family members for a catch-up post-Christmas meal. Everyone was delighted with their food, between a mixture of fish and chips, steaks, the fish platter and a veggie burger. All food arrived promptly and hot! Desserts were also delicious. We had a lovely large table, sometimes as a bigger group we end up being shoved round the back somewhere, but this table suited us well and was bright and accessible. Plenty of choice on the menu. Would definitely recommend!

Well came in here for dinner. Don't know why we bothered. It took 45 minutes to do our food, there was no one else ordering food. When we got it it was such a small meal. You would need a magnifying glass to find it. There were only 7 very small chips on the plate. I know because I counted them, and a tiny bit of salad. The Chicken was nice though. We will never go there again. This is the smallest meal I have ever had. When we got home we had to cook a meal, we were hungry. If you want a real meal, don't go here. Not a good experience.

€3.10 for a dink before 8pm then goes up to £3.90 when I queried with bar staff was informed different prices at night !!!!!!!!
