Bidrage med feedbackI was hesitant due to the reviews, but I had a wonderful meal. The Malaysian Laksa was exceptional, and all the other dishes were delicious as well!
I cannot say enough good things about Panorama Restaurant, it was absolutely amazing! I took my family there tonight and, being all vegan, we were a bit concerned about the options available. However, we didn't need to worry at all. The chef was incredibly helpful, going through the menu with us and happily creating vegan versions of dishes. We tried the mock duck and various tofu dishes with sweet and sour, black bean, and satay sauces, and I couldn't even tell the difference between those and the meat alternatives. It has been 18 years since we became vegan, and I haven't had a Chinese meal that tasted this good. I am incredibly impressed and this will definitely be a regular choice for us. While it may not be the cheapest option, the quality and taste of the dishes are worth it. If you're vegan, this is a must-try. The only suggestion for improvement would be non-dairy ice cream for dessert, but we were so satisfied with the starters and mains that we didn't even need it.
So after panorama being our regular chinese for 7 years tonight we were disappointed for the first time! Im not sure if owners have changed but our food was not enjoyable! The chicken balls were dry and burnt, the satay chicken on skewers were TINY , they came dry on top of cucumber with a separate pot of what i can only describe as a lump of spice it was not satay at all! The sweet and sour sauce was so thick when i tried to pour it, it came out in one jellyfied clump! The ribs were tiny compared to normal and like the chicken satay they came onto of veg dont understand why they do this) luckily no one was allergic to the veg it came on!! Gutted that after 7 years we have to find somewhere else and annoyed i have wasted £25 on rubbish food
I have been going to Panorama even before it was Panorama (it was Twin Dragon) but for the last decade Panorama has been my go to for Chinese food takeaway with my wife and my family get takeaways there too. Panorma changed owners last month and what I feared came to fruit tonight. Our first takeaway with the new owners and the old chef staff are definitely gone. The chicken balls were half the size they used to be and we only got 9 (used to get 10) so couldn't even share them between us evenly. The deep fried shredded chilli beef was also disappointing. The clue is in the name but it was limp and floppy and didn't have a great deal of taste (especially considering its £6). The exact same meal with the old owners was 12.5% cheaper but now it's more expensive and worse. Unfortunately after over 15 years we will be looking for a new Chinese takeaway restaurant. We may return once in the future to see if anything has been taken on board and hopefully it improves, for their sake.
Very poor service. Food was terrible. Will not be using again. I have also ordered take aways from them only for them to wait an hour before cancelling it. Nothing positive to say about this place unfortunately.
