The Coach House Puriri - Thames

Great little restaurant with a nice homey feel. The food and service were excellent. Half of the place had quiet table seating, and the other half was a pub. The muscles are great, both the red curry and garlic sauces, and the fish and chips are good. They also have a good tap selection, and the food is reasonably priced.

Absolutely lovely eating lunch on their sunny deck today! Tasty pub meals at a reasonable price. A pity the hours they are open are not more widely publicized.

This is a rare ocurrance; a great rural pub in New Zealand. Between Thames and Paeroa, convenient for the hungry or thirsty (or both! traveller. Great food, the burgers are superb, and ice-cold Carlsberg on tap. With a garden view! What more could you ask for? I rate the Coach House 5 Stars.

Food was amazing and the surrounds are delightful and service was wonderful. I fully recommend one to go to the Coach House Puriri Pub. A beautiful old wooden preserved Pub Restaurant.

I enjoyed my brief stop and was well looked after by the owner. She was full of local knowledge and ensured we were well versed in everything that the area had to offer.
