What happened to the best place in town . I have been eating here for over 4yrs .it's always had great food Until now the last couple of times I have ordered and picked up my food . It looks as bad as it tastes . Tonight I ordered the hot dogs has always been great . But tonight it tasted and looked like they dig it out of the dumpster and throw it in the box What has happen to the pride, and great taste . I put them in the garage and had to cook dinner . I'm sure it's the new cooks not caring about cooking great food . Tonite when I walked in to get my food they were all sitting at bar talking about getting off for the fourth July . No one said hi welcome are even talked to me when she handled my food and I was paying . I sure hope this place comes back . I miss the great food and great service .
This is a great hole in the wall place if you don 't mind the crazy drive through a residential area to get there. The prices are a bit high but the catfish and shrimp was delicious and the hamburgers are awesome. I was disappointed that the hush puppies were jalapeno because I 'm not a fan of spicy food and I was craving hush puppies. I threw them away. The batter on the onion rings is not thick and they had wilted by the time we got the food home. A few minutes in the air fryer and holy heck they were to die for! There is dining inside and out. Very casual in the just finished spending the day on the water way. Not sure if they serve cocktails of any sort but I did see a few groups with bottled beer.Kid-friendliness: Room to run around at the outside picnic tables.
The reason why I’m not giving a five is because they changed their recipe for their fish. This place has the best burgers in town and beyond but their fish was unique and on another level then they changed it and went more traditional to our area. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it.Food: 4/5
My wife said she found a waterside place to eat, little did I know it looks like the junkyard dock where they killed Hooches owner in Turner and Hooch. We were very unsure on what to do and where to sit, staff just walked by us. We sat on a small bench outside in the sun, no shade. We sat next to rusted 55 gallon drums. I took a couple of menus from inside and my wife had to go back inside to place the order. Luckily a waitress did bring us our food. With all this being said this was one of the best cheeseburgers I've ever had. Boudain Balls were very good and so were the shrimp. Anyone coming here I suggest taking this good food to go.Alot better the second time around. Definitely recommend the burger!Kid-friendliness: They have a kids menu.Parking: We just parked on the side of the road. Didn't know if we were gonna get towed.
