Lafogata Grill - Texarkana

The food was enjoyable, but the service was very poor. It took a long time to receive our drinks, which were non-alcoholic, and I never received a refill. My son's Sprite was basically just carbonated water, and the server never brought a replacement, even though he was sitting at the bar near our table. The restaurant was not busy, with only one or two other tables occupied. The server was unfriendly and never smiled at anyone. It was disappointing to bring my family from out of town for a meal and have this be their experience at the restaurant.

I will never return to this restaurant. We waited for 2 hours to eat, only for everything to arrive cold and half of our order was incorrect. The female manager was extremely rude and dismissive. When we requested to speak to a higher manager to address the situation, we were told he was too busy to speak with us. This was our first and last visit to this establishment.

La Fogatas is nestled just a little easy once you exit Genoa Rd. It's a neat little Mexican Bar and Grill. The wait staff today was very nice and very helpful for our big party of individuals. The food was quick to come out and it was hot and fresh. The lunch menu between 11am 4pm is very affordable. Today I for the lunch Chimichanga with double rice and it was very filling. The salsa is not bad. Could use a little more heat for me but was tasty. The guacamole was fresh and tasted very good but it had lettuce in it which threw me off. But it wasn't enough to ruin the taste. Overall it was a good experience and I would be happy to go back. Give them a try if you are in the neighborhood.

Food was good, but either the waitress was new or just didn't care about her customers. She couldn't remember we ordered sweet tea and brought us unsweetened tea, then my husband ordered fries with his steak and she brought rice. Took almost 45 minutes just to get desert we ordered....we had to ask for refills from another waitress because we never saw our waitress.

Great times on the patio with live music and great food!
