Bidrage med feedbackWe stayed at the hotel for three nights and dined there each evening. Due to an event on the first night, we had to eat at the brasserie, while on the following two nights we dined at the main restaurant. The ambiance and layout of both dining areas were pleasant, but we found the menu to be quite limited with the same options available at both locations. My wife had to choose the same burger option on the third night as there were not many choices available. The starters were overpriced for the small portions provided, so we opted for a dish from the tapas menu on the last two nights. Unfortunately, the soup of the day remained the same throughout our stay. In the brasserie, a side plate and butter knife were provided on the table, but bread was not served unless ordered as a starter from the tapas menu for an additional cost. In the main restaurant, the tables were not set with side plates and when we ordered bread, a butter knife was not provided, forcing us to use our main dish knife. The main courses we had were average at best and did not justify the prices. My wife ended up choosing the same burger option twice as a result. We recently stayed at a 5-star resort in the countryside and noticed a stark difference in the quality of food. The staff were friendly but seemed disorganized and possibly undertrained. There were instances where our requests were not fulfilled correctly, such as when my wife asked for a spoon for her soup and was given a large serving spoon instead. On her birthday, our bottle of wine arrived long after we had finished our appetizers, missing the opportunity to enhance the celebration with a complimentary glass of champagne. We observed some discrepancies between what customers ordered and what they received, leading us to question the accuracy of the menu items. The service was lacking and inconsistent, likely due to understaffing and a lack of proper training. Breakfast was good, but the service remained unpredictable. Overall, our dining experience in the evenings did not meet our expectations and was quite disappointing, despite the hotel itself being beautiful and meeting our other expectations.
The restaurant at this fabulous hotel offers beautifully presented and delicious food along with excellent service. The walls are adorned with so much history and intricate detail, adding to the overall dining experience.
The staff was friendly, but the experience was not as great as we had expected. We had high hopes, but ended up feeling very disappointed. My starter, the scallops with pork belly, was quite expensive at $26. The scallops were cooked well, but the pork belly was soggy and unpleasant. My husband's starter, the duck, was overcooked and hard to cut. Although I encouraged him to send it back, he didn't want to cause a scene on our special day. Our main courses were also not up to par, with my steak being overcooked and fatty. For dessert, my panna cotta was delicious but disappointingly small. My husband opted for the cheese and biscuits, playing it safe. Overall, we felt that the restaurant was overpriced for the quality of food. Despite dining in many top restaurants worldwide and knowing good food, we were let down. We decided to try a local pub on our second night instead of returning. We were disappointed that our anniversary celebration didn't go as planned. The breakfast, however, was enjoyable. We would consider staying at the hotel again but would skip dining at the restaurant.
Friendly service, but some mistakes regarding the table order. the food was delicious and delicious and the menu with food allergies.
We were staying at the hotel. The restaurant was superb with attentive staff and the food selection was wonderful a tapas menu and al la carte everything was 10/10.
