Bidrage med feedbackGuided autumn tour. Not allowed to take photos except for the meadow, restaurant and shop. Our guide was very good in describing the garden, all that is being done for sustainability and The Prince’s Trust. Restrooms: Very clean
They are just so lovely what vision King Charles has to create such beautiful gardens.
Even on a grey day, the gardens are magical. The vegetable garden was perfection. It has made us want to visit again in the summer to see the meadow. The gift shop is very tempting with helpful staff.
We had a lovely short autumn tour of the garden, but sadly, the prices in the restaurant put us off, so we went elsewhere, nice shop
The gardens are magnificent and interesting but.. . . The groups are too big, 25 was too many, we couldn't hear the guide's soft voice, fairly often. The guide was not really very infirmative, we have had much better. The teashop would not let us sit outside even though it was a hot day, no ventilation inside, very hot and humid They said they had sold out of afternoon teas, how can they do that with predictable and known visitor numbers? We had to order the relative components separately, which were mysteriously suddenly available, but at a higher cost. The sandwich selection was neither a sandwich nor a selection. Just 1 large roll. There is no WiFi available for guests, this is the 21st Century you know, they say it's for security but I think it's just a cost saving. Staff on the restaurant though we're all excellent. Overall £220 for 4 of us, a garden tour, cup of tea, 1 ham cream scone each, 1 filled roll and tiny tasty pudding, was not a very worthy cost even if it is owned by the King!!!
