Bidrage med feedbackI have only visited this restaurant twice, but I must say that the sourdough bread is excellent, and I usually do not enjoy sourdough. The olive and cheese breadsticks were also very good. I deducted one star because the server was unable to answer a few basic questions about the bread being sold.
The prices at this restaurant are unreasonably high for the quality of food you receive, especially when compared to other bakeries that offer better food at more reasonable prices. The cheese straws were extremely hard, making them difficult to eat, and the sausage roll had a mushy and overly flakey texture. At £2.40 per sausage roll, I expected it to be the best I've ever had, but it was disappointingly below average. I was not impressed and would not recommend this restaurant.
With Greggs everywhere these days selling perfectly acceptable but rather limited pastries and cakes, it's wonderful to come upon a proper baker who can rival the French bakeries for the quality and range of offerings. Prices are higher than Greggs, but the quality is so much better as a result Reeve offer excellent value for money. Open during lockdown with a one way system, and a very organised queue. Full credit for that. I have utter respect for every place that made the effort to remain open. I do think that shop workers in Britain should be given a community George Medal for the bravery, resilience, patience, and positive cheerful attitude they have displayed.
It’s not the cheapest bakery, but the sandwiches are Devine. Pies and pastries are fresh and delicious. It’s like a posh Greg’s. But worth it.
Sausage rolls are nice but it’s a shame there Prices are so high they get most of the business in Romsey , we need competition
