Reasonable pub food, but it's the service that wins every time at this eatery. I had a problem with the meal I had ordered and the waitress and manager didn't pause in replacing my dinner with good grace. The welcome is warm (even in a crowded restaurant in the run up to Christmas) the attention is prompt and the whole place, as a result, has a great buzz!

The staff at the restaurant were friendly and provided good service, but it seemed like they were understaffed as the cook was also waiting on tables, which may have contributed to the lukewarm temperature of the food. I ordered the pie, which was hot but lacking in filling. The vegetables were also lukewarm, leading me to believe they had been sitting out while the pie was being cooked. The waitress offered to bring me hotter vegetables, but by the time they arrived, the pie would have gone cold. The prices charged at this restaurant should warrant hot food, but unfortunately, that was not the case during my visit.

This place offers typical pub food. It’s more expensive than typical pubs, more akin to a dedicated premium restaurant. That said, the food was tasty, served quickly and the place was busy. What was also surprising was that it closed early (10pm) on a week night. People were being turned away; disappointing for the potential customers and missed opportunity to stay open and obtain more business.

Good choice of food at reasonable prices I had hunters chicken and chips it was brilliant. Good choice of alcohol aswell. Shall be calling in again along with nice friendly staff. Being a truck always good to find a decent food pub
