Joe's Cafe Donuts King Cakes

Food and service is amazing but the way the I saw an employee treated was disgusting. I was waiting for my takeout when I noticed the young girl made a mistake a by ringing up the wrong toast. Honest everyday mistake if you ask me. Well when it was brought to her attention by another employee/manager maybe. She was told she would have to pay for the toast. I find that disgusting taking from employees that way. Having them come out of pocket for a small mistake that maybe cost the restaurant a quarter if even. I find it hard to want to give money to an establishment that operates in that manner.

I currently live in New Orleans, but I've lived on the BestBank for years used to be a Joe's cafe regular. Saturday night I had a craving for a specific burger so I told my husband, I wanted a Joe's burger, because I love the sourdough bun. We rode across the river to the Terrytown location. The server service was awesome. However, I didn't find out they were out of sourdough bread until my burger was finished. I don't like sesame buns so I went with the Tx Toast. I was highly disappointed didn't enjoy my burger. I ended up just eating the meat. My husband ordered an egg white omelet, but it was a regular one, but he still ate half of it(he brought the other half to work).I was told to call ahead of time, next time so I guess that's what I'll do, so I don't be disappointed again. I still tipped the server cook, because I understand it wasn't there fault, but if I would've known ahead of time, I could've changed my order.Kid-friendliness: My kids love eating here.

Nice people working there. While the menu is affordable and the donuts are good, the hot food is “Good enough”, but don’t expect to impress anybody you bring with you. Paper cups and plastic utensils make for a mediocre breakfast spot. But hey, it’s good enough to fill the belly and start your day at work.Food: 4/5

Great food and a good menu selection. The service is a little slower than anticipated- imagine a Waffle House but with better food, donuts, and a more laid back environment.So like a Waffle House and Dunkin’ Donuts merger together.

Had the glazed beignet was not Antione Bakery dry light glazed thick hard to digest. I appreciate the effort just not what I expected driving from Chalmette to terrytown ??‍i never have the time to upload Antiones they be gone in 3 seconds ???Food: 2/5
