Golden Chick - Terrell

I went to Golden Chick for lunch with a friend and a coworker. I ordered a meal that included mashed potatoes, but I found a strand of blonde hair in them. After work, I returned to the restaurant and showed the manager what had happened. He was nice enough to give me a new serving of mashed potatoes and two rolls, but I don't think I'll be going back to that location in Terrell, Texas again.

I've visited this restaurant several times and ordered the 15-piece mixed chicken. However, I've never received any chicken pieces with breasts. Additionally, it often takes a long time because nothing seems to be ready when I arrive. I completed the survey on the receipt, but all I got in response after four weeks was an apology for my bad experience. Well, I guess Church's is a better option.

We visited this restaurant today and found it to be very clean. The staff was polite and friendly, patiently waiting for us to make our selections as they didn’t have enough white meat available to fulfill our order. The roasted chicken was excellent and not overly seasoned, a nice change from other places we've been to. The portion sizes have become smaller (which my hips appreciate), but the taste remains just as good. The sides were a bit uneven and sparse (once again, my hips are grateful), but I’ve never been particularly impressed by the extras anyway.

The chicken tenders I ordered were tender and delicious, just as I expected. They were lightly seasoned, which added a nice touch. The meal also came with a side, a roll, and a drink for around $11.99, including tax.
