Cafe Rouge Tenterden

This restaurant is a fantastic spot for lunch, and their seasonal lunch menu offering 2 courses for £11 is a great deal. The food is deliciously cooked and beautifully presented. It's a top choice for Saturday lunch outings.

The food at this restaurant is consistently delicious, however, our visit was marred by a lackluster welcome and slow service. Despite making a reservation online and arriving punctually, we were left standing at the entrance with no greeting or acknowledgement from the staff. Although we had requested a specific seating area, it took a while for us to be seated there, and the service was slow due to a lack of staff. Our appetizers took a considerable amount of time to arrive, and our main dishes took over an hour. While we did enjoy the food, the overall experience was not very pleasant.

As always, the food and drink on offer were very good. The menu is never exciting but it provides great standard French dishes at a very good price. The waiter was incredibly attentive as always but a little intense as well. Overall, a good meal.
