Grandma Lillys - Tendring

We had the most fantastic cream tea here at Grandma Lilly's. We are the most difficult customers, with numerous allergies, disabilities and veganism. But ALL of our needs were catered for. It was outstanding. Far exceeded our expectations. It was my parents 65th wedding anniversary and they loved it. The staff are so helpful and kind and friendly. We will be back

This is the second time this has happened; the Chilli con carne was priced at £10.75 and the portion on the plate was very small, which did not justify the price. My husband's meal was cheaper than mine and he received a larger portion. I have had cheaper meals where you get a lot more, such as omelettes, jacket potatoes, and roast dinners. Even my husband commented that it was not worth £10.75. It felt like robbery, so we will not be returning. The waitress only took off £2.75, which is better than nothing I suppose. This is not the first time we have heard similar complaints from other customers.

Good food,reasonably priced. Nice ambience. Only downside one wairess which makes service considerably slow.

Enjoy delicious homemade food in a cozy and comfortable setting. The open fire during winter adds a lovely touch, and the staff is exceptionally friendly.

Could not be better. Service was Amazing and its a lovely quiet place. Been a few times and always is amazing. Food is out of the world and drinks are amazing
