Bidrage med feedbackGreat Chinese seafood restaurant, they have never changed their quality and the dishes taste the same as alwaysFood: 5/5
The deco is clean and modern, The food and service is quite good for a Chinese restaurant. The shrimp is large and fresh, and the taste is very succulent. This is a good option for a large crowd and gathering. There are no condiments on the table, you would need to ask for salt, pepper, hot sauce, etc. Parking is somewhat limited, there is some street parking available. Many regular patrons park at the bank parking spot during non business hours and walk over. The waiter at this restaurant speaks Cantonese, Mandarin and English as well. For their lunch special this restaurant charges $1.80 for a bowl of white rice. Many regular patrons would order fried rice instead as the portion is very generous. Many people order take out as well, there is a long table for take out pick up.
It has delicious food and it's authentic Chinese food. But you'll need to go with someone who can speak Chinese since that seems to be the language the servers speak. We went with a friend who is Korean/Chinese. She told us it is mainly for Chinese customers.Food: 5/5
Went back for the first time since the pandemic. The place was renovated and feels a lot cleaner but unfortunately the food was over cooked and quite salty. Definitely not to mom's liking. One dungeness crab was $80 ouch. Used to cost about $120 for a family outing and now its 180. No wonder traffic was light even on Sunday.
My family used to come here a lot when it was the old Seafood Palace. Have't been back since they changed the new ownership until yesterday. We decided to celebrate Mid Autumn Festival here. It's always the same vibes, big family gatherings or just have a casual sunday night dinner. You will see a lot kids at every table, so do expect a lot of loud noise and screaminng everywhere. They also have private rooms available but mininum spend is $800+. We have 8 people in our party and we ordered quite a few items on the menu. We ordered seafood, meat, vegetables and always gotta have soup on the side. Here are some of the signature dishes we ordered. House Special Fried Crabs 避風塘蟹 Whole Crispy Deep Fried Crabs with lot of seasoning and fried garlic. It is one of their signature dish, you can also tell by the name of the restaurant in cantonese . One of my favorite and the reason I choose to come eat here. The crabs deep fried so well and full of flavors. with salt and pepper, the deep fried garlic added more aroma to it. Winter Melon Pot 冬瓜湯 This soup is very uniques and comes in a actual wintermelon! You must pre order this 1 day ahead because it has take long hours to make. it comes with black chicken 乌鸡 , logan, goji, dried scallop and other healthy chinese herbs, of course the wintermelon. The flavor of the soup tastes very sweet and savory because of the wintermelon and they do not add additional oil to the soup. It comes in a actual wintermelon, you can scrape the winter melon off which scooping out the soup. very delicious and healthy. The other dishes we ordered, where i thought that needs a little improvement. honey walnut shrimps Texture is okay, but they out way too much mayo where you can barely tastes the flavor of the shrimp and the crispiness. the walnuts are also stale. house speical steam chicken with ginger sauce Wish there are more flavors of the chicken, it tasted like it was just boiled in water. The ginger sauce combined made it taste slightly better. but the chicken itself should have it's original house special flavor. Baked salt and pepper Squid Well deep fried but not enough salt and pepper. I did not taste the salt and pepper at all and there were badely any jalapenos. Overall, service is good just like any other typical chinese restaurant. I would still come back and give the restaurant another try.
