Old Jody's - Temple

I had to wait to come home and recover from a medical coma, and during that time, I really craved fried steak. The only complaints I have are: 1. They don't accept debit or credit cards, and 2. The service was a bit slow. The staff was friendly but just a tad slow. The service industry needs to be quicker and more efficient to keep up. They should be personable and able to multitask—that's the key to success. Regardless, it's a very small place right at the VA! Jody will definitely get my business, and I plan to bring everyone I know here!

My salad was 2-3 meals, but not just a full of food-it was delicious! the grilled chicken is well fed and I loved her ranch dressing. my buddy said his burger was good, but he could only eat half.

Great place for a family friendly meal and cold beers. The highlight of the meal was their onion rings and gizzards!

Awesome burger. Kids loved the chili Frito pie and the BLT. Husband loved the chicken fried steak and Mac n cheese. Chocolate molten cake with ice cream was delicious, too. Seating was quick but there was a long wait for the meal, even after the lunch rush on a weekday.

It was my first visit to Jody's, and I really appreciated the artwork and the charming appearance of the exterior. The parking lot was packed, which is always a good sign. This restaurant has that classic feel that brings back memories of my culinary adventures from my youth, something that's hard to find nowadays. The food was excellent, and the service was outstanding. I devoured my burger and hand-cut fries while enjoying the tunes from the vintage jukebox.
