Zu Izakaya Asian Kitchen - Tempe

I love this place! They have such great vegetarian and vegan options, I get one of every vegan roll that they have, I love their pickled wasabi and that they have tamari! The service is fast and the waiters are all nice. Highly recommend for sushi!Vegetarian options: Cucumber roll, avocado roll, tofu roll, vegetarian roll, pickled wasabi.

Great service and the food was fantastic! The rolls were fresh and the bulgoli was delicious. Hip place and good food. The happy hour food menu was very reasonably priced and good portions. I’ll definitely be coming back.Food: 5/5

Came here with some coworkers after a late work night, and man it hit the spot! Everyone's food was so tasty, I'm glad we tried this place! We will have to go back again one day!Also I had accidentally left my to-go box on the table, and when I called 5-10 minutes out they still had it! Some restaurants have just tossed my to-go boxes out almost immediately after I leave (Which, when I worked in food I would hold it behind the counter for at least 15 minutes before tossing it..since usually people realize when they get home and are willing to come back... so I appreciated that they kept it and let me grab it quickly when I came back!

Quality of the food was great. I love the happy hour(4pm-7pm) and reverse happy hour(9pm-11pm). Service is great. Be sure to ask for Dhillon. He was very chill and welcoming. He was very sociable and knowledgeable of the menu. Place is kind of dark but hey, its also a bar. Ambiance is a 4 but everything else is a 5. Definitely top 5 sushi places for me in AZ.

When I entered in, unfortunately, there was a sign that said that the AC was not working. I tried my best to oversee that, but it was quite hard. When seated, I was there with about four other people, and my food came out way too early compared to theirs. It would’ve been nicer if all the food came out at the same time, so that we all could enjoy it, but what happened rather, was that I was awkwardly waiting as my food was getting cold for the other is this food to arrive. Food itself was pretty good, although I am not very acquainted with the cuisine in particular. The rating on food is what I would guess somebody would give if they were well acquainted with the cuisine, and had an open mind, because it may really be a hit or miss. Overall, I’d say it’s a nice place to visit.
