There's also an antique car that has been turned into a hockey table, resembling a giant wooden toilet adorned with provocative artwork. While some of the decor might be unnerving, the overall atmosphere is undeniably fun. The food is just as fantastic as the ambiance! We received great service from Natalya, which seemed to reflect the positive attitude of the rest of the staff. The menu might not be overly extensive, but we were thoroughly impressed with everything we tried. One stand-out dish was the "You Little Devil," featuring six halves of deviled eggs topped with bacon and chives, especially delightful when enjoyed with an ice-cold San Tan yeast witbier. The Panko shrimp, beautifully hand-breaded and fried to a perfect golden brown, were equally delicious and left us wanting more. Our group of nine included a couple of guests who fondly recalled visiting this strange and captivating place back in the vibrant, smoky 70s—how time flies, right? Many pizzas were ordered, and there were no complaints, so whether it was the drinks or the food, everyone seemed to enjoy themselves! If you're looking for a fantastic time with friends—or even solo—this place offers an entertaining, eclectic environment that's hard to match. From the overwhelming hospitality of the staff to the whimsical decor, it’s an experience you won’t want to miss. You can enjoy drinks at the spacious bar, check out a pinball machine inspired by the Black Lagoon, or relax in the fabulous courtyard complete with a fire pit. When you first arrive, the place looks like a mission—definitely not your typical dining spot! While it may not serve gourmet or trendy cuisine, this restaurant is a haven for food lovers and those seeking joy in the dining experience. Bon appétit to all the food enthusiasts out there!
Although much of the decor hangs above you and can be somewhat intimidating, the overall vibe is fun and lively. The food and ambiance are fantastic as well! Our server, Natalya, provided excellent service and seemed to represent the rest of the staff exceptionally well. While the menu isn’t overly extensive, everything we tried was delightful. The dish called “You Little Devil,” featuring six deviled egg halves topped with bacon and chives, was simply phenomenal, especially when paired with an ice-cold San Tan Hefeweizen Ale. The Panko Shrimp, which included five plump, hand-breaded jumbo shrimp that were perfectly golden-fried and served with a unique house sauce, was worth every bite and left us craving more. Our large group of nine included at least two regulars who used to frequent this quirky establishment back in the fun and festive yet smoky ’70s, which certainly dates us! We ordered a selection of pizzas, and there were no complaints—either the drinks were working their magic or the food was just really good! If you’re in the mood for a good time with friends (or solo) and want to immerse yourself in a fun, strange, and slightly eccentric atmosphere, this is the place to be. With exceptional service, a myriad of oddball decor items, and delicious food, it really ticks all the boxes. You can enjoy the upstairs bar featuring a real Creature from the Black Lagoon pinball machine, or opt for the unique ambiance below, or relax outside in a lovely courtyard complete with a bar, firepit, misters, and more! By the way, the building itself resembles a Mission upon arrival! While it may not be haute cuisine or trendy by any means, it’s a haven for food lovers looking for fun and an enjoyable experience. Bon appétit to all the connoisseurs of joy!
