Garcia's Mexican - Tempe

Overall, the restaurant was decent with great service and atmosphere. I visited Garcia's in Denver. For some reason, I recall the food being tastier in the past. It wasn't terrible, but it lacked a certain something that didn't quite resonate with us.

Excellent Mexican cuisine. Nothing beautiful, but good and well served. Not spicy if you ask. Staff friendly and terrace has music on weekends. They offer a great Nacho plate the size of Kansas. Make a dinner or munchies for the table

The food is worth the price! The drinks are well crafted, and the chips and salsa are fantastic. We have visited a few times and had no issues with the service except for one time when they were short-staffed. The waiter was running around to take care of 7-10 tables, so we didn't mind. We will definitely return.

I give this location a 4 out of 5... Morgan our waitress was fantastic, she consistently checked on us to ensure all are needs were taken care of, she was very knowledgeable and familiar with all our different sauces... Food was excellent, I had the Pollo Fundido, I felt it was perfect and very flavorful... I tried the Peach Margarita, which Morgan had recommended and to my surprise it was very good. I also had a Mango and Raspberry Margarita, also very well made. The only downfall was our appetizers, we chose the sample platter and the only thing with any flavor was the quesadilla, everything else was very bland. If this doesn't get corrected, I strongly suggest to do a hard pass on the Sample Platter. Update 8 May 2022: Morgan was our server once again, she's very attentive, everything was perfect, even the appetizer, so full of flavor. I had the Smothered Jack Fajitas and this is a must try dish, you know the seasoned the meat perfectly and it was so tender, you won't be disappointed with this dish... I changed my 4 Star to a 5 Star, the place is kept very clean and this is also important for a great experience...

The restaurant has a great flavor and a nice ambiance for drinks. Happy Hour is available 7 days a week, which is a bonus. The patio sitting area is cute. All the dishes ordered are freshly made to order and taste delicious. The Chicken Steak mixed quesadillas are especially good. For dinner, I tried the Sour Cream Chicken Enchilada with a Spinach Enchilada. The sides of rice and beans were normal. It is recommended to arrive early if you do not want to wait for seating.
