Filiberto's Mexican Food - Tempe

Whenever I visit from Michigan, I always order carne asada burritos and rolled tacos with guacamole. I absolutely love the food and the hot sauce! I also make sure to take some burritos and a pint of sauce back home for my daughter. I used to live in the area and I’m still hooked on these dishes! They still taste amazing. The service is great too!

I ordered four tacos without lettuce, but what I received was completely different—tacos overflowing with lettuce, hardly any meat or chicken. When I called to explain that my daughter's immune system doesn’t handle lettuce well, I was shocked by how rudely I was treated. They suggested I bring the tacos back, which was ridiculous! I asked to speak to a manager, but he refused to come to the phone and kept telling the staff to handle it instead. Amidst the chaos, I could hear shouting in the background. Pictures speak volumes, and it’s true that the customer is always right. After this experience, I will never return to this restaurant! So much for lunch—here’s your lettuce. Wow!!!!

The shredded beef tacos were good. I don’t know if this is a Texas thing, but when I ordered menudo from a Jalisco taqueria, it came with lemon. I did get the cilantro and onions, but I had to go to Fry's to buy a lime. Besides that, I was going to be charged over $2 for just a small serving of sour cream. The service wasn’t the best, and there was a slight wait, but overall, the food was decent.

This is my favorite Filiberto's location. Even though it is out of my way, I will drive to this particular location. Staff is friendly, kind and patient. Food is delicious! Prompt service. I would have given it 5 stars if their speaker audio systemworked better. Sometimes they can hear you clearly and sometimes not.

Always amazing every single time I go there. The food is quick and available at all times of the day and night!!! I love to go way late or early at night... it's the best treat ever!! Thank u Mr. Burto!!!
