Meritage At Callaway - Temecula

Pleasantly surprised! Made reservations around sunset and it was worth it!! Food was cooked well and presentation was on point. Money worth spent and wasn't too crazy expensive. Service was excellent and attentive in the right way. It wasn't crowded so probably why it everything was on point. The Lamb Shank was buttery and fall-off-the-bone good. Duck was well-cooked and not over done. Dessert was a great way to end too. Not overly sweet and good composition. Hope it's like this the next time we visit!

Found this place by accident when we were hungry. During busy time the wait can be 45minutes, but it is worth the wait. The oxtail absolutely wonderful.

Restaurant is humid and hot. No greeting or host/hostess. Views are blocked by blinds. No reservations equal no service here. Arrived at the restaurant and it was very empty and was still refused service. Staff was neither busy or at capacity. Disappointing. Beautiful property, but a shame the service was nonexistent. Will not return or recommend.

The only reason I give it 1 star is the service, which is definitely 1 star. The Ceasar Salad was absolutely the worst salad I 've had. Romaine leaves, a couple white sardines, and very stale bread doesnot make a salad. The Duck was under-cooked and flavorless. I 'm totally disappointed. I guess living in Las Vegas has ruined me :0(

Had a very nice time for our anniversary. Tasted some great wine!
