Bidrage med feedbackStopped here for dinner with my family of 5. We were all disappointed with our dinners, but the smoothies were great. I would go back, but only for smoothies if I wanted a quick refreshment.
We were here for the second time and had Mixed Nachos which was very good. The service was nice and attentive. Good option for a light lunch when you are in Manuel Antonio.
This restaurant is a gem. Some people have written that it’s overpriced and the staff is unfriendly. We found the seafood to be excellent and comparably priced to other restaurants in this touristy town. All servers were pleasant and helpful. It is clean and uncluttered but not glitzy.
Another BUYER BEWARE post! We went here specifically for the advertiser beer buckets. We told our waiter FRANK that we wanted that special. He convinced us to sit at the beach, told us they had the same menu and that he would deliver the food and drinks to us. FRANK also stated that the beach chairs are included if you purchase food. Great! Fast forward to the bill arriving in which we did not receive the beer bucket special but instead were charged 200% more. FRANK stated that we saw the menu prices and agreed to them. I don’t mind paying above average prices but I would appreciate the option to make a decision and be an informed consumer. It feels so gross to be scammed. Reading reviews after the fact, it seems like a common business practice. Not the way to get repeat customers or informed customers who read trip advisor. Be better FRANK! Be better BALDI FRESH. Will not return and hope that others can read this before being scammed.
My recent trip to Costa Rica was amazing, but our experience at Baldi's Fresh was a letdown, tarnishing an otherwise perfect vacation. We ordered four smoothies and two fish ceviches from the beach, expecting a delightful treat. However, the pricing turned out to be a sour note in our sunny day. Firstly, there was a clear discrepancy in pricing. Each smoothie was charged at 2,000 instead of the 1,800 advertised, and the ceviches were 6,500 each, way above the advertised 4,800. This was not just a minor oversight but a significant overcharge. To add insult to injury, a 23% tip and tax were tacked on without clear communication, inflating our bill further. While the food was decent, it's hard to enjoy a meal when you feel like you're being taken advantage of. Transparency in pricing is a basic expectation, which Baldi's Fresh failed to meet. The situation might have been different had we ordered inside the restaurant, but that shouldn't change how customers are treated at different service points. The final straw was the interaction with the owner. When approached to discuss these concerns, his response was obstinate and rude, displaying a lack of customer service and respect. This kind of attitude is unacceptable, especially in the hospitality industry. In conclusion, my advice to potential customers is simple: Buyer Beware. The hidden costs and poor customer service at Baldi's Fresh left a bitter taste in our mouths. It's disappointing when a single bad experience stands out in an otherwise wonderful trip.
