Crab Shack On The Beach - Teignbridge

My wife and I called in for lunch on spec on our first visit to Teignmouth. What a find! We both had hake, which was delicious in a creamy white wine sauce. The manager and waiter were friendly without being pushy, and the service was faultless. The restaurant itself is a good size, quite small but not cramped. It has a pleasant, bright feel to it, with the River Teign in the background. We'll definitely go again. I'm guessing it would be a good idea to book next time. There were a few reserved tables when we turned up.

Had booked this for a special birthday based on good reviews!!Four good friends looking for the ultimate seafood platter to share! Huge lobster, enormous crab, mussels clams , oysters prawns and crevettes! ! Super fresh and served by lovely friendly and informed staff and washed down with icy Picpoul and accompanied by the best chunky chips and lovely bread! Can’t prise it enough! Can’t wait to return!

A little bit pricey but with that you get excellent fresh food and great service. We pushed the boat out with the hot platter as well as mackerel and a scallop starters. George was helpful in trying to get us a special liquor from their sister restaurant as well.

Delicious meal and great service. Spectacular seafood hot platter between the 2 of us. Also an amazing negroni...got to try it!

I was here to look at the menu for my group. I had the hack and it was delicious. Small restaurant near the sea. I am going to have singapore chilli crab when I return in February 2024 with some friends. Quiet nice atmosphere.
