Bidrage med feedbackAnything to do with water is appealing to me. It was a great experience having lunch in a boatshed on the water. I had pita bread with lamb koftas with tzatziki a bit of salad. Very tasty a small meal just enough for me. My husband fish chips salad it was a wonderful meal for him. The coffee was delicious, and it was very hard deciding on a dessert as they all looked so delicious . WE had berry cheesecake, it was mouthwatering.
We had a day trip to Tea Gardens and chose the Tea Gardens Boatshed for lunch. On arrival the staff were courteous and found a table for us, initial impressions were that the Tea Gardens Boatshed was a delightful place to have lunch on a warm sunny summers day. After perusing the menu i went up to order and pay, we chose the Prawn Ginger dumplings and the Beer battered Fish and Chips, also ordering a beer and a glass of chardonnay. Our meals were served to us in a reasonably quick time, however when my wife's chardonnay was brought to the table i was informed that they were out of the beer i had chosen, unfortunately I subsequently chose another beer that was out of stock, but they did have my third choice which was a hazy IPA. We were enjoying lunch relaxing and enjoying the beautiful scenery of the Myall river when a waitress approched us, she explained that the beer I had chosen was $2.00 more expensive than the beer I had initially paid for and that she wanted me to pay the extra $2.00 ! I have to be honest and say I was shocked but i found a $2.00 coin and handed it to her. I have never experienced anything like it, basically I had to pay for the restaurants inability to supply my first and second choices of beer, the Tea Gardens Hotel which is about a 3 minute walk away might have been an option for the restaurant when discovering they were out of my initial choice of beer. I know its a small thing, but to be honest it spoiled my experience of lunch at the Tea Gardens Boatshed. The food was good without being great.
Great place to eat on the river. Food was delicious not too pricey. Sat at the bench and watched the fish and stingrays swim around. Friendly staff. Recommend.
The food was fresh and so tasty! The coffee was amazing too! Oh and not to mention the brownies… they were to die for! Definitely will be back again!
This restaurant is located on the water’s edge of the Myall River. The restaurant offers mainly indoor dining but there is some outside, as well as providing takeaway options. The restaurant’s decor is rustic, like the name suggests like a boat-shed The restaurant offers a boutique selection of food, primarily seafood, with a reasonable wine list. Highly recommend, and the Barramundi with prawns when on the specials board is so delicious!
