The Farehouse - Taylors

We went on a Friday night, and the restaurant was quite busy. Despite that, our server Missy was extremely fast and efficient and seemed like she returned with whatever we wanted in two minutes!The food was all fresh, hot and delicious. We had the Farmhouse jerk, one with chicken and one with shrimp. They had just the right amount of spice to make them interesting and the amount of chicken and shrimp were plentiful. We also had the turkey, BLT, and the shrimp Alfredo. Very pleased with the food, service, and overall experience!

This was our fifth time coming here and I hate to even say that we don’t want to come back. It started with the Bourbon Flight and there ended up being a gnat in the fourth one, Jefferson Ocean. That happens, so we weren’t upset about that. Not really in the restaurants control. But once brought to our waitresses attention she brought back another one. After having already tried the other three, it tasted just like #1. She then only proceeded to come back to the table about 4/5 times after that. I waited to order my second margarita for 25+ minutes. We witnessed her talking to the hostess at the host stand and then again at the bar for over 15 minutes. Our food sat in the window, and my Italian sandwich was burnt because of the overhead lights. The chef had to get the food servers attention for them to even notice the food was in the window. After that she didn’t come back for yet again a while. I went to use the restroom and my significant other said she came to the table and saw my card down asked if we were ready for the bill (we weren’t yet) and he said no and attempted to finish his sentence but she had walked off. We needed a box and wanted to order a cheesecake togo. It took her about another 15-20 min to come back to the table and finally we ordered everything. Nowhere did it state, unless I missed it, that the cheesecake came with strawberry purée, but it was smothered in it. It was overall a pretty lousy experience, and for someone that doesn’t really feel the need to write reviews, I felt drawn to have to write this one. This would all have been a different outlook if the restaurant was even remotely busy, but it wasn’t. At most, including the bar, there was 15 people in there. I was a server in a busy restaurant for 8 years, so I know and understand the struggle of a busy afternoon/night and not being able to please everyone. I also know those horrible customers that complain about everything and are just looking for problems. 100% we are not those people and were friendly from the second we sat down, no need to be rude/disrespectful.We have taken family and friends from out of town here. The food and service is usually impeccable, but we left we a horrible taste this time around. Just really disappointed. Mostly because it sucked to see her neglecting the table, whether it was purposeful or not, but having to watch her talk, switch locations, and continue to talk again just kinda sucked.Follow up: I am unable to reply to the owners response. In regards to the questions asked, we were located closest to the bar and kitchen, under the HVAC system that was dripping. I cannot remember our waitresses name.

After a second visit, I think it's fair to say the Farehouse is a good establishment, nothing about it really stands out, but it is a good place for drinks and food. It's a charming little place inside of a larger community of small business, a place for locals to hangout.It is nice to see a bar well stocked with some of the finer spirits in such a small town but do yourself a favor and get a new glass with every drink, no drink should be served without fresh ice.I think it's also fair to say the farehouse serves a good pizza, although the price seems a bit high for what they serve, especially when it comes to the Pimento cheese. Oddly enough they go heavy on the cheese and light on the crostini, seems a bit backwards to me, either way it's very good so spread it thick.Cheers!
